Wilsons fame grew rapidly in the United Kingdom during 2014. She starred as Alison Lockhart in Showtimes The Affair as a character with dark secrets who falls in love with Noah Solloway. Wilson was awarded the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress of the Television Series in Drama 2015 alongside Mauratierney and Joshua Jackson. Wilson stated to British Vogue she was a fan of playing a character in both perspectives. Noah imagines Alison's confident, irresponsible sexy side.
